So, I'm getting ready for NaNoWriMo '07 (this year I'm determined to actually get started and finish). I've been plotting around for several months now, the ideas just keep popping into my head, characters have been chattering away in my brain, and I can't get them to shut-up. Hopefully, this journal will actually get some use for once.

Well, this is a stupid reason as any to write in this LJ, I wanted to change the calendar (there on the right->) to reflect the current year. I haven't updated in forever, makes me even wonder why I keep an LJ (aside from needing an account in order to belong to certain communities *sigh*).

Oh well, current update on my ever changing fandoms:

Reason for Obsession: O.o needed new ship, though this one sunk *sigh*

I can truthfully say I need to stop obsessing and get back to work... hell, get back to life... yep, need to go workout, get some air, walk a bit, punch and kick something (great stress reliever).

Well, I have come to the conclusion that I'm doomed to fail at this writing business. My NaNo has come to a standstill; I just can't seem to get the damned thing started. I have characters, location, but the plot is still iffy, I guess that's why I haven't been able to write anything *sniff*, yes, I've fallen into the black pit of despair and am likely to stay there buried there – If anyone reads this, please send copious amounts of vodka and chocolate.

*Gah!* It’s the first day of NaNoWriMo and already I feel like chucking my laptop at the wall. My target audience has read and critiqued my first paragraph … who knew 10-11 year olds were so opinionated > < … and truthfully it’s been insightful, now I know I’m doing everything wrong and need to rethink my whole writing strategy *sniff*.

Gods, I finally finished my entry for the rl_nt_ficathon. It only took:

- 25 days.
- 6 different drafts - each written in 2 different points of views, and don’t even get me started on the tenses and perspectives.
- 1 night of insomnia due to taking 1000mg of some antibiotic whose name I can’t pronounce that causes nausea and hallucinations (I swear my window switched walls and there’s a monster in my closet who can’t seem to keep quiet – I think I’ll start charging rent).
- and one rather boring day at work (I’m so damned bored, I could be home sleeping right now *sniff*).

The end result isn’t all that great nor that long (just over 5 pages), but I don’t think I can take another day of having this hanging over my head. It sucks not having a beta to bounce ideas off of; it’s so much harder when all you have to go on is your own critique.
